Sunningdale is centrally located in Middlesbrough, with good transport links to the town centre and surrounding areas. Within walking distance are shops, local cafes and restaurants, parks, colleges and training centres.
The modern refurbished accommodation includes:
Ten one Bedroom Flats – with separate kitchen, lounge, bathroom
Two two Bedroom Apartments – with separate kitchens, lounge and bathrooms.
All have access to communal living areas so the young person can socialise if they want to or maintain their privacy.
These consist of a living room, spacious gardens and a communal kitchen. All in all, providing comprehensive support and independent living accommodation for children.
Working with local authorities, Sunningdale provides a high standard of accommodation according to the needs of each child and young person.
Care is by planned admission, and the duration of a child or young person’s placement is subject to their individual needs.
Care will be focused on the skills necessary to enable a smooth transition into the wider community. It will emphasise the value of self-sufficiency in cooking and household budgeting.
We can extend the leaving age beyond 18 if necessary to assist them in their transition to independence
