Our Management Team

Enhanced Care’s management team, with twenty years + of experience are particularly successful with community-based residential care for young people with complex behaviours.

As an integral part of Enhanced Care’s Therapeutic Services approach, we work in partnership with the child, their family, carers, and other professionals to provide a multi-disciplinary team approach.

This includes working alongside psychology, speech and language therapy, counselling, occupational therapy and alternative therapies. In short positive partnerships are vital to achieving a consistent person-centred approach to planning and similarly goal setting and supporting the young person to celebrate their achievements

Care and Support

Children living away from their home and family have often suffered from trauma or adverse life events. At times children are unable to manage the range of emotions the feel due to their experiences. Children can suffer from grief and loss associated with separation from their family and friends

Children in our homes live in an environment of care and support that gives attention to their individual needs

Children are helped to stay safe, be healthy, enjoy and achieve, make a positive contribution, develop their own resources and achieve economic well being.

Staff are highly trained and deliver therapeutic interventions based on the PACE model. They are supported by our consultant Psychologist

Our Aims and Objectives:

  • To provide the highest standard of support in a safe, positive, person centered way, so that each child is empowered to achieve their maximum potential.
  • To ensure each child has a personal education plan which addresses the individual needs and provides positive educational opportunities made to maximise their learning potential
  • Promoting equality and diversity ensuring children are not negatively stigmatised or excluded
  • Ensuring care plans and risk assessments are personalised and regularly reviewed
  • To ensure children’s health needs are properly identified, met and monitored
  • Facilitating a sense of belonging for children helping them understand that staff will not give up on them and that this is their long term home.
  • To work closely with important people in the childs life including family, social workers and universal services and services to ensure the right support is provided at the right time.
  • To focus on a child’s strength, interests, hobbies and hopes
  • To support children to have continuing relationships with people important to them and to help them and to help them to develop further trusting relationships with others.
  • To make sure children’s wishes and feelings are obtained and reflected in care planning

Hillside - Gateshead

HILLSIDE Children’s Home

Gateshead Medium dependency new purpose-built service located in a parkland setting.

Current Rating: Good

Accommodation:

Consists of 5 ensuite bedrooms and 1 annex.

The purpose of the annex is to prepare any child with an independence and transitioning plan.

The home can offer accommodation for children of any gender between the age of 8-18.

Features:

Hillside is located in the east of Gateshead in Tyne and Wear in the North-East of England. It provides long term care for children.

There is an attached individual apartment to assist children in their transition to independence.

This facility is one of the area’s only new, purpose-built children’s homes. It has very large bedrooms. Lots of communal space and an outdoor playing area.

Set in a large two-acre parkland site on the edge of Gateshead Town Centre. There is a Metro Station within 200 meters, giving easy access to all parts of Newcastle, Sunderland, North Tyneside and South Shields.

The home is close to local shops, leisure facilities, a GP, and a dental surgery.

Working with local authorities, Hillside provides a high standard of accommodation according to the needs of each child.

Holme Farm - Middlesbrough

HOLME FARM  Children’s Home

Middlesbrough Low/medium dependency

Purpose-built home located in a large farmland setting.

Maximum Registration: Ofsted 8 Children.

Ofstead Rating – Good

Accommodation:

The home has a choice of communal areas, conservatories, and extensive outdoor facilities. Children also grow their own vegetable.  It has eight large bedrooms, and all have their own individual bathrooms.

Typically 6 children 8-18 years old

Features:

Holme Farm is located south of Middlesborough in Teesside in the North-East of England.

It provides long term care for children and young people.

Set in a semi-rural two-acre site on the edge of the beautiful Cleveland Hills, Holme Farm is near the village of Stainton, which is close to towns such as Middlesbrough, Stockton and Darlington.

The home is close to local shops, leisure facilities, a GP, and a dental surgery.

Working with local authorities, Holme Farm provides a high standard of accommodation according to the needs of each child and young person. Care is by planned admission, and the duration of a child or young person’s placement is subject to their individual needs. 8

Oaktrees - County Durham

OAKTREE Children’s Home
Assessment accommodation for children.

Recently converted building located in a large suburban setting.

Accommodation 

The home has 6 ensuite bedrooms, a lounge, snug and dining area. It has a big outside area. The home is registered for 3 children between the age of 8-17 years old. 

Features:

Previously Oaktrees was a very popular community Pub within a small village 4 miles from Durham City.

After a total reform, it is now a modern detached home.  It has excellent travel links to Durham and Newcastle, and the main motorway, A1 (M), is less than a 5-minute drive away, with easy access to Teesside, Tyneside and beyond.

The home has the resources we value for our children and their families, such as local shops and leisure facilities, a local GP and dentistAKT
